In a recent conversation with the Business Standard, ITC Chairman Sanjiv Puri said, "We already export to 100-odd countries. We want to scale that up and take some strategic positions in markets close to us."

Mr Puri also discussed how ITC's FMCG business will acquire assets or set up manufacturing bases, and how its Hotels business will expand into neighbouring markets through an asset-right model.
