In line with ITC Chairman Sanjiv Puri's 'Sustainability 2.0' vision - under which ITC plans to meet 100 percent of its grid electricity requirements from renewable sources by 2030 - the company's first off-site 14.9 MW solar plant in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, is already helping ITC meet 90 percent of its electricity requirement in the state. Over the years, the plant, spread across 59 acres, will enable ITC to reduce its carbon dioxide emissions, and contribute to ITC's mission of combatting the threat of climate change with extensive de-carbonization measures.
