An article in The Economic Times reports that consumers spent more than Rs 29,000 crore to purchase ITC's FMCG products in the fiscal year 2022-23 - over 20 percent higher than the previous year. The margin expansion has been driven by multi-pronged interventions such as premiumisation, supply chain agility, judicious pricing actions, digital initiatives, strategic cost management and fiscal incentives.
